PBS Benefits Card
Pay using funds from your benefits accounts - quickly, easily and conveniently!
The PBS Benefits Card allows you to pay for eligible expenses at the point of service, eliminating the need to pay out-of-pocket and file claims for reimbursement. Use your card for FSA, HSA and Commuting expenses - if offered by your employer. Not sure if your plan includes the card? Ask your human resources administrator.
With the card, most expenses will be automatically verified; however, you may need to submit receipts for some charges so be sure to always save your receipts - just in case.
Additional cards are available for your spouse and dependents age 18 and over. Go to the Forms Library in My Health Benefits Toolkit to download a request or click here.
Receipt Notification Requests (RNRs)
Learn more about RNRs and what you need to do if you receive one
Some doctors' offices, hospitals, and dentists perform services which would be considered ineligible for the Health Care Flexible Spending Account. Because the IRS requires us to obtain 100% verification of Benefits Card transactions, we ask for itemized receipts for all transactions that we are not able to automatically approve. If you have a card transaction that requires verification, you will be notified immediately by email or mail. If you receive an RNR, simply return the notice and copies of your detailed receipt(s). Ignoring RNRs can result in the temporary deactivation of your card. Per the IRS, it is mandatory to verify all card transactions and suspend the card for any unverified card transactions.
